Amid growing concerns about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, our priority is the health and well-being of those in our communities. We are closely monitoring the latest updates, and it is our goal to provide the most up to date guidance on how to protect yourself and others.
We encourage you to follow these recommendations:
- IF YOU FEEL SICK OR HAVE COME INTO CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO IS SICK, DO NOT ACCEPT A SERVICE ORDER - If you have a mild illness, respiratory symptoms, or have a fever (38 C or 100.4 F or above), we would encourage you to stay home and keep away from others. We also encourage you to avoid accepting an order if you believe that you have come into contact with anyone who has exhibited these symptoms or who has been diagnosed as contracting COVID-19. If you believe that you have been infected or come into contact with someone who has, please contact us immediately at operations@buyitinstalledmail.com.
- IF YOU EMPLOY OR REGULARLY WORK WITH OTHERS, CREATE PROTOCOLS - Prompt identification and isolation of potentially infectious individuals is a critical step in protecting workers, customers, visitors, and others. If you employ or work with others, we recommend that you encourage them to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 if they suspect possible exposure. Employers should develop policies and procedures for employees to report when they are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. - USE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) - We encourage you to use PPE whenever possible at service locations. Examples of PPE include: gloves, goggles, face shields, face masks, and respiratory protection, when appropriate.- CLEAN AND DISINFECT YOUR EQUIPMENT - Pay special attention to surfaces that you frequently come in contact with. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use of all cleaning and disinfection products (e.g., concentration, application method and contact time, PPE). We would also recommend that you avoid other workers’ phones, desks, offices, or other work tools and equipment, when possible.
- CUSTOMER CONTACT – We encourage you to utilize best practices in fulfilling service orders and restrict physical contact with other persons as much as practical. We would recommend that you avoid touching surfaces in customer homes as much as possible and to maintain at least six feet of distance from customers.- WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY - Wash your hands with liquid soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or if hand-washing is unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol to disinfect your hands. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- COVER YOUR COUGH OR SNEEZE - Use a tissue to cover your cough or sneeze and throw the tissue in the trash, then wash your hands. If you don't have a tissue within reach, cough or sneeze into your elbow. As always, if you feel uncomfortable fulfilling a service order for safety reasons, you can choose not to accept or cancel the order. However, it is absolutely against applicable law to discriminate against anyone based on their race or national origin.
